Prom 2009

This prom was a good one! The day started when we all went to breakfast in the morning. All the guys thought it would be fun to kidnap their dates for breakfast, and since Diana's and my dates didn't know the plan we decided to kidnap THEM. Well, that morning we picked up Diana's date first, and then were going to be late for eating, so we decided to call my date, Skyler to tell him to be ready when we got there.
He was out in Eagle at a basketball game.
So, I had an invisible breakfast date! But oh, those strawberry pancakes were grand with or without Skyler! ... and I succeeded in spilling water all over Madison Mangum. Sorry buddy :)
After breakfast we went home to get ready, and at 4:30 the night began!

So here we go! A photographic journey through Prom 2009... be excited.oh look! It's me in my dress! This number was my cousin, Lexi's.. so that meant FREE for me. I spent 9 bucks on prom wear.. a pair of earrings. It was GREAT.Some pics of the family for good measure....These two boys are some of the best in the WORLD. Skyler is on the left, and my date. David is on the right, Diana's date. This year Diana and I decided it would be fun to go to prom with boys OLDER and more MATURE, so we went with our college friends. (Not to mention we didn't get asked by anyone in high school ... :) )

Backlogged

First off, HAPPY EASTER!
Second off, I have so much to write about. April has been insane so far, I'm behind. I'll give a little recap though!
The first week of April we went to California for Choir Tour.
so great!
And last night was Prom, and I will write about it in depth later but for now I must go to church. And then I must ground myself from the computer so I can do all my extreme homework for the day.

I finished my senior paper rewrite, and it was only 2 weeks late! :)
Who knows what even motivated me to do it.
Maybe it was the ultra taco salad I made myself for dinner.

or maybe the magestic & motivation inducing qualities of the Ruby Red Grapefruit Crystal Light I was introduced to in Utah and currently drink by the gallon.


Or perhaps it was the "HYRDO-DERMA" Bed at Planet Beach today with Anna Larsen... our favorite place for 12 days of free tanning, spa, ect. I'm pitiful, I know. But it's free!

But whatever it was... ahh man I'm glad it helped me out. I hope the week is going nicely.

Wisdom Wednesday

Today it's simple.
WW9- BREATHE.

So today was definitely not my day. Work was.. well, I don't know what was even going on. In the span of three hours I managed to clean out a machine, only to succeed in spilling half the yogurt I'd just put into it, mop the floor with no soap in the water, and be the butt of ALL of Austin's jokes. The whole time I was just saying, "Alyssa! Breathe! Breathe!" Man was I glad to get out of there when the clock hit 10:30.
And so that is my little story, and now that I am comfortably sitting my chair, eating Cheetos and drinking Crystal Light, things don't seem so hellish. Bring on TOMORROW.

And today Eric left for his mission. One of the best parts of Idaho Falls will now be in Argentina! He's gonna do an awesome job there, though. I know it. Convert the Hell out of them, Elder Roisum :) See you in 729 days! ... and no, I will not make a paper chain for this one.

Missionary Moment

So I got Diana this great shirt at the BYU Art Museum. She loves it so much she sent me this grand picture of her sporting it! And boy will she be happy to see her face on my blog. Haha
And this bus ride is long.

Wisdom Wednesday

Okay- it's 12:11 on Wednesday morning, and I felt like I had to post a WW this early/late on Tuesday because tomorrow I am California bound with choir with no computer access until Sunday.
BUT WAIT PEOPLE! Don't worry. Because if you've read my last post, you'll see that I figured out how to blog straight from my Blackberry! And that baby will definitely be with me at all times. Here we go. My brain cells have been pumpin' all day for this one. Kinda.

WW8-Twitter.

Twitter? So you don't know what it is, eh? Well, either you can totally blow off the rest of this post and go to twitter.com and figure it out yourself, or you can stick with me.
Twitter is the site where you simply answer one question. "What are you doing?"
From there you network with a bunch of friends- Obama is one of mine- and you can receive as many or as as few updates on what your friends are doing as you'd like. They're sent straight to your phone, or you can just look at them on your twitter page. Whatever floats your boat!
At first I thought Twitter was kinda dumb. And hey, I came to one conclusion. It is. BUT- it's fun. You can text Twitter whatever random thoughts you'd like, and oh! Hey! Look over here! ----------------->>
I've even linked my updates to my blog! Tricky, I know.
So, this week I really hope my wisdom rubs off on ya'll. Basically this is for selfish reasons, but whatever. I need more friends on Twitter, for man can not live on updates by my one Twitter pal, Anna Thorn, alone! So, do it. Sign up. Find me. lyssie_lou.
